About Gilardi's on Walnut
A mainstay of the Springfield dining scene for more than 15 years, Gilardi’s first opened with only 12 tables. Chef Nicola Gilardi’s authentic Italian restaurant grew impressively over the next decade, expanding to include an outdoor dining patio and a large catering space. Still in its original location at 820 East Walnut in Springfield, MO, Gilardi’s offers lavish entrées in an intimate atmosphere.
Since purchasing the restaurant in early 2013, owner James Martin remains true to the lofty standards Chef Nicola established. James and the entire staff are committed to carrying on the Gilardi’s tradition for authentic, delicious Italian food and attentive, personalized service for every guest. Because James strives to build on Chef Nicola’s tradition of excellence, today Gilardi’s is also working to establish and foster new relationships in the community with both our patrons and local farmers.
Partnering with the Grey Gables Event Center, Gilardi’s provides unique and memorable dining experiences in both our restaurant and private event facility. Built in 1894, the Grey Gables Event Center is located onsite in a beautiful Victorian home, which has recently been restored to its original state.
